March Madness has ended!

Finally things are slowing down. My wrist wasn't broken, but one of my bones in my right arm is shorter that it's supposed to be, resulting in added stress to my wrist and damage to the cartilage. PAIIIIIIN! but it's controllable and wearing a splint has helped. Currently I don't even need the splint anymore.

And I drew stuff! Yay!

Have to work on a couple more of these sheets!

Not my week

Actually, it WAS my week so to speak. I'm going through some difficulties that were inevitable, not pleasant, but necessary. Doesn't mean I have to like it nor that it doesn't take its toll on me. Add a few visits to several doctors to that and you end up with a desperate need for some R&R. At least I get some results tomorrow and the day after that I'll have the diagnosis of my right wrist. IF it's broken, then I expect it to be healed :/ the splint did help and if I don't turn and twist my hand too much then it doesn't hurt anymore. Nearly two!! months between the MRI and the diagnosis, this is so not cool.

With the change in my personal life I expect changes in my art as well - at least I hope I'll see some changes. Like drawing more and more as soon as  the fog in my head clears up. AND pick up artstudies again, asghadaurks. I simply had not enough room in my life for anything serious painting, which made me really sad... and angry. I mean, art is my job and it's been part of my life since forever, it SHOULD not be neglected the way I did :(. Guildtrip much? Oh yeah.

So, here is to the next weeks! May it be the beginning of something new, great, sparkling and happy! Yay! (no, I'm not on happy pills, haha :P )

Work

 Sometimes I wish I could upload some of the work I do at my job. Especially the last one I just finished. It's not so much a "oooh, shiny, loookatit!" kind of work, just one I'm really happy with because it's partly me. Most often than not I have to draw things, motifs that are just not me. There is that one time of the year (halloween) where I can get close to that, but usually I draw stuff I wouldn't touch in my own private time. And that's ok - it's the job and despite the little problem with what I have to draw here, it's an awesome job. It forces me to rethink a lot, especially concerning colors. That was a nightmare and it still is, but I think I made some good progress and finally found a way to keep my colors in check and that's helping me with my private work. What can anyone ask more? oh, right. to show that little thingy in public:D. Well, that's not going to be, so I'll just have to work harder on my private stuff so that I can show my progress online.  Stupid hand. Why did you have to break the wrist on your right hand? Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

First mock-up. I decided against bigger thumbnails for the moment, it would clutter the design. What do you think?

Working on my homepage

Yes, i have a webpage. A very neglected and dusty old homepage. I mean to update the design and make it into my online portfolio - which means it won't be very busy, but I would like to have a colorful footer. My hand still hurts, progress is slow and I have to finish another project too. Once that is done and over with I have enough time to concentrate on the homepage.

I like that monster, hehehe :D. Need to add background and foreground...

One of these days...

I'll be able to paint a fanart of my hunter. SOMEDAY. Eventually. Perhaps.

Welcome 2012

The new years is already a few days old - I hope you had a good time and not so much a hangover. I've been busy drawing and thinkging, thinking and painting. New Yaers resolution: draw more! Continiously and attend to the uncharted places on the map - perspective. I suck at it :X

Ok, back to work. More stuff to come laaater.
